The Owl and the Pussycat’s Treasurt of Nonsense 2014-2016

Welcome to The Treasury of Nonsense!

The Owl is a poet, intent on writing his greatest masterpiece yet, but he shares his den with the Pussycat who likes telling stories too, and she has a quite a different approach!

This unlikely pair work and play together, creating magical worlds amongst the things in their den, and turning everyday objects into new friends for their nonsense stories.

But can they really work together to tell the most important tale of all? Their own story, of The Owl and the Pussycat?

Inspired by the runcible works of Edward Lear, Soap Soup Theatre present a collection of some of Lear’s most loved poems in another feast for the eyes, ears and imagination. Go racing with the Nutcracker and the Sugar-tongs, travel the hilltops alongside the Dong with the Luminous nose, and sail away in a sieve, to the land where the Bong tree grows!

With their delightfully unpredictable story telling style, using clown, object puppetry and magical music, they round up a collection of nonsense, bigger and better than ever before!
